LOCAL CONTENT
ARGAS is committed to develop skills of local suppliers through training and global best practice policies and procedures.
Our senior management has been working diligently to improve the financial and technical capabilities of local businesses and suppliers in order to help them compete internationally and grow the local economy for the long term.
In Saudi Arabia, as a result of our continuing efforts, ARGAS has made it to the top of Saudi Aramco’s list of companies participating in its “In Kingdom Total Value Add” (IKTVA) initiative. While launched recently, ARGAS is making a significant contribution in the following ways:
- Technology – ARGAS developed a bespoke portal for suppliers to exchange business processes
- Long-Term Commitments – We identify strategic suppliers with potential for a high business impact and aim to make these our long-term partners
- Supplier Compliance Program – We ensure that local suppliers are fully up-to-date and responsive when it comes to compliance of the rules and regulations set-forth by the competent government authorities. This helps the local suppliers to put procedures in place and help them compete with international providers
- Risk Factors – ARGAS also works hard on mitigating risk factors potentially impacting its efforts to develop local content
- Quality Assurance – ARGAS will always prefer a local compared to a foreign supplier, without compromising on the quality of materials
COMPLIANCE
ARGAS takes compliance of governmental and client related matters very seriously and has placed checks and balances ensuring that these are adhered to. Our experienced procurement teams ensure that all our business activities are in compliance with the relevant laws governing anti-corruption, anti-money laundering and anti-bribery.
