DONATIONS

ARGAS has a long-standing commitment to developing talent of the highest calibre in the Kingdom. As part of this effort, we regularly make sizeable software, hardware, and training donations to the Kingdom’s leading educational institutions as well as provide free training and development workshops to pass on our technological and operational skills to the next generation.
ARGAS donated 24 Hampson-Russell software licenses (at a cost of SAR23M) to King Abdulaziz University (KAU) in 2013. This software enables students to learn first-hand how to use one of the world’s leading geophysical reservoir characterization tools effectively.
In recognition of the important work KAU’s Department of Petroleum Geology and Sedimentology was undertaking, we made a further investment at the end of 2016 to extend those licenses by another year. We have also made a software donation to King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM).

Here is a summary of our past/ongoing work with the Kingdom’s universities – please check regularly for updates:
  • We regularly host workshops at the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and meet several times a year
  • We regularly host workshops at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST)
  • ARGAS signed up to for an Ocean Current Modelling Study between ARGAS and KAUST
